HELP WANTED - GROUND CREW

Tree Awareness, Inc. is looking for new and experienced Ground Crew Members for a FULL TIME POSITION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn new skills/equipment

  • Drive a truck with a trailer

  • Lift and stack brush, chip debris into chipper, rake up debris

  • Run ropes for rigging operations

  • Provide general climber support

  • Operate machinery such as a mini skid steer, a chipper and a chainsaw is a plus

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring safety and organization.

  • Manage and direct traffic around job sites when necessary to ensure safety.

  • Communicate clearly with the team to ensure smooth operation and safety protocols are followed.

  • Ensure the job site is clean and free from hazards at the end of each day.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, or construction is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor for extended periods.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and equipment.

  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends, as needed.

  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus but not required.

  • Must possess reliable transportation & be able to pass a drug screen pre-hire and random

Paul Biester the founder of Tree Awareness is a 35 year tree climbing veteran who worked at all levels on the crew. In fact several days a month he still engages in general tree climbing have operations. He knows what it takes to be a climber in the industry and is uniquely positioned to understand and appreciate tree climbers .

~ COMPENSATION;

1. Some of the highest wages in the industry , earn up to $33/hr

2. Earn up to 2 weeks paid time of as well as 7 paid annual holidays

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • minimum of 2 years (provable) climbing experience

  • a passion for climbing, and trees. The ability to work with others by clear communication. Recieve instruction,written and verbal.

  • Have a firm grasp on pruning trees in accordance with best industry practices (ansi a300) tree removal , understanding of rigging and associated hardware.

  • vaild D.L.

  • possess or acquire first aid and cpr as well as EHAP
